Founded by Jake White and Tomas Barraza, who built VIVE18 out of their own experience: Jake began hosting substance-free parties at his college that grew into a national movement, and Tomas grew up watching drug use take apart people around him. Their belief: scare tactics don't work, shame doesn't work, and outdated messaging doesn't work. Students change the culture when they're given something real instead.
