Having an adolescent child is truly like watching a wonderful magical plant bloom. It's fragile. naïve, and vulnerable. You must nurture it and give it freedom to grow naturally with its own ability to do what’s innate, and it will flourish and bloom to your amazement. Never toss it aside because it wasn’t performing as you hoped, never toss aside because it wilted, never toss it aside because it became too much work to keep it alive.
It is your responsibility to make sure your child develops, flourishes, grows and matures to their best ability. They can only go so far without positive, loving guidance. Tread lightly when it comes to your reprimanding as your child will grow away from you instead of toward you, and be open to discuss things of worry or troubling. Your adolescent is the better version of you, treat them with love and respect and keep your ego and pride out of it. WATCH OVER, PROTECT AND LOVE UNCONDITIONALLY, or someone or something else will.
