How Many People Can Say They Pulled a 40,000 Pound Airplane?

 Saturday, April 13, 2024 at 9 a.m. to 12 noon

The SafeLaunch Plane Pull is an extreme challenge where teams engage in a tug-of-war against a 40,000 pound fully refurbished PB4Y military aircraft!

The team that pulls the airplane 50 feet in the fastest time in each division will earn the title of Division Champion! 

Prizes await the winning division teams as well as the team that raises the most money for the cause: To give youth every opportunity to grow up drug and alcohol-free.

Entry details:

Teams will compete in one of three divisions.

• Open Division
• School Division
• Public Safety Division (includes law enforcement, firefighters, EMTs, and military personnel). 

Each team of 10 needs to raise $1,000 to compete; that’s only $100 per person. You can sign up with as few as 4 strong people on a team, but know that you will be competing against teams of 10. 

For the school division, each team needs to raise $500; that’s only $50 per person.

Who can participate?

Anyone aged 14 and over can participate.* Form a team with friends, coworkers, sports teams, family members, or workout buddies! All ages and abilities are welcome to participate. First and foremost, this is an opportunity to have fun while supporting the SafeLaunch and Way Out West youth drug and alcohol prevention programs. 

The more money each team raises, the greater the chances are of winning the Fundraising Champion title, even if your team doesn’t win a Division Champion title.

Competitors will be provided with a Plane Pull Tee Shirt, water and a snack.
